📌 The research groups PREIT-tour and World Heritage City (CPM) have officially registered their policy paper with SENADI as intellectual property, under the title:
📝 “Cultural Heritage, Leisure and Tourism: An Analysis of Consensus and Disputes over the Use and Enjoyment of Public Space in Cuenca’s Historic Centre.”
🔎 This document offers a clear, evidence-based analysis of the agreements, tensions and conflicts surrounding the use of public space in the Historic Centre, incorporating the perspectives of public, private, community and citizen stakeholders. Heritage, tourism and leisure do not always move in harmony, and the study demonstrates this without euphemisms.

🏛️ In line with its public mission, the policy paper has already been submitted to the Directorate of Historic and Heritage Areas of the Cuenca Municipal Government (GAD Cuenca), with the aim of supporting decision-making, urban planning and heritage management grounded in rigorous academic research.
📂 Furthermore, the document will be available upon request to researchers, students, cultural managers, policymakers and interested citizens. Knowledge that remains stored does not transform reality; knowledge that circulates does.
🌱 Through this initiative, PREIT-tour and CPM reaffirm a clear principle: research is also a form of public action. Protecting authorship is not about restricting access, but about recognising, structuring and strengthening the public use of knowledge.
📩 If you are interested in accessing the policy paper, simply request it.
